A Few of My Favorite Things

Anthony's mother was using her noggin when she got this Valentine's gift for me back in February. It is a pointe shoe made entirely out of chocolate! It's too pretty to eat! But it's Philadelphia Candies. I can't not eat it. Let's be serious. I'm going to eat it. But I'll look at it and display it for a while. Thanks, Amelia!

Reason #45 why I hate the English language

Prefixes.

My evil plan has worked again. My dad is probably the best man on Earth. Not only was he out last night getting new tires for my car, he came back with a piece of chocolate peanut butter pie from TGI Fridays. So now I am able to drive my car through snow this winter AND enjoy some choco-pb pie!

This 4 layer pie starts with a graham cracker crust, has a layer of chocolate fudge, a layer of creamy peanut butter with peanut pieces, and a layer of cool whip on top. Don't forget about the chocolate and peanut butter drizzles on top too! Quite delicious.

It's a very rich dessert that's probably best shared by two people. Which is why I'll save half for my dad. :-)

Reason #61 why I hate the English language

Let's consider these four words:

1. search

2. lean

3. create

4. steak

All of these words have ea as their vowels; however, they are all pronounced differently. Once again, we can't seem to make up our minds.

Calling all Chocolate Chefs

Hey, 'Burghers! Got a great recipe that includes chocolate? WQED is holding their next cooking marathon in honor of the greatest food on Earth - ChOcOlAtE!

Recipes will be reviewed and put into the station's newest cookbook C is for Chocolate. Also the best recipes will be demonstrated - along with the chef who sent it in - live on the air Saturday, November 21st.

Be sure to get your entries in by November 10 to be considered for the book. Also indicate if you'd be willing to create your chocolate masterpiece on air on the 21st.
